Town v Wolves preview

So the last home pre season game before the league kicks off and what a test it will be.

The last 2 games have been great tests with Birmingham showing why they got to the play offs last year and they have definitely improved their team to become a strong contender for promotion.

Leicester were a lot more disappointing and after their performance last week but after watching our performance, it must give every salopian faith in our team to do well in league 1 if they can make a championship side look so mediocre.

As for our team, well they can play football together and this has to be the best midfield we have had in a very long time.

So here is the first question for you

Who would you pick to start in midfield

The strikers look confident but Marvin Morgan and Terry Gornell seem to be the favourites to be the main frontmen especially after their goals on Saturday. Marvin has taken his 2 headers really well and Gornell’s strike shows he is going to be a major player this year.

Another role to be decided in our eyes is the defensive duties as everybody who has played in defence has looked really strong. We think Joe Jacobson will be the obvious choice but

Who would you put in central defence

With under 2 weeks until Leeds we wonder if these decisions will be made tonight as its our last toughie before Worcester on Friday

Pre Match Build Up

Every town fan is licking their lips at this pre season game as Salop v Wolves is no ordinary friendly. There is that rivalry that has been with us for years that makes it a bit more interesting. Nobody wants to go home the loser especially in this game.

The bragging rights are at stake.

Turner has managed both teams in the past so we will see what reaction Wolves fans will give him. Remember he spent 8 years at Wolves before he went on to manage Hereford.
